The September 12-14, 2008, Reunion for all of the Classes of the Fifties is over,
and it was a tremendous success!
There was Golf Outing on Friday, 9/12, starting at noon.
A 9-Hole Scramble Tournament was held at the Downers Grove Golf Club. Despite the rain, 16 players turned out for the event,
organized by Ron Rueckheim ('56) and Patti Halper Voras ('53). There were no trophies awarded; "They all were winners!"
There was a Bridge Bash Party on Saturday, 9/13, starting at 1:00 pm.

There was Dinner/Dance on Saturday, 9/13, starting at 6:00 pmat the Double Tree Inn, 1909 Spring Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523
Almost 540 attendees thoroughly enjoyed the social hour, dinner, great conversation, and dancing.
Linda Oppel Kinney ('58) led the way as Reunion Chairperson. John Glass ('59) did an outstanding job as M.C.

There was a picnic on Sunday, 9/14, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm,
at the American Legion Post, 4000 Saratoga Ave., Downers Grove, IL.
More than 230 attended the much more casual picnic, where more time made it possible to continue
conversations from the night before and to conduct new ones, while enjoying excellent food and drink.
John Herder ('60) and Gene Stute ('59) planned and conducted this outstanding event.
Also, there was a Class of 1958 50th Reunion Sunday Brunch from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Double Tree Inn in the Executive Center Room.
Linda Oppel Kinney ('58) organized the brunch.

"It's almost time," the Mustang said, "to let the Fifties go.
We've had our fun and Rock 'n' Roll,
but times have taken their toll."
So, unless others step up to organize another one,
this was the last Fifties' All-Class Reunion.
IT WAS THE FIFTIES' LAST HURRAH!
It's up to succeeding decades to carry on the tradition.
